The Flint Memorial Library in North Reading, Massachusetts, stands as a testament to the town's rich history and architectural heritage. Constructed in 1874 by Harriet Flint, this iconic structure has long been a cornerstone of the community. Over the years, it has undergone various transformations to meet the evolving needs of its patrons, including a significant renovation in 1989 that repurposed the building into a modern library facility .Flint Memorial Library

In a recent endeavor to preserve and enhance the library's historic facade, Metro Siding Pros undertook a meticulous restoration project. A focal point of this initiative was the fabrication and installation of custom PVC decorative quoins for the building's corner boards.

Quoins, the architectural elements that accentuate the corners of a structure, are traditionally crafted from stone or wood. However, Metro Siding Pros opted for high-quality PVC materials, which offer superior durability and resistance to the elements while maintaining the aesthetic integrity of the original design. This choice ensures that the restored features will endure for years to come with minimal maintenance.

The custom PVC quoins were meticulously designed to replicate the intricate details of the library's original masonry. This attention to detail not only preserves the building's historic character but also enhances its visual appeal. The installation process required precision and expertise, as each piece had to align seamlessly with the existing structure to maintain architectural harmony.

Metro Siding Pros' commitment to quality craftsmanship and historical accuracy has breathed new life into the Flint Memorial Library's facade. Their work ensures that this cherished landmark continues to serve as a beacon of knowledge and community pride for future generations.
